Pots, Brooms, Hurdles, Thatching Spars, Sheep Cribs and even Hay Rakes were made in the Heathlands of East Dorset, using the natural resources of both the heathlands and adjacent coppiced woodlands. This book explores the whole network of these lost trades; the landscape which supported them; and the life of local people.
